Lorensen Auto Group Sponsors NBC Connecticut’s Clear The Shelters Pet Adoption and Donation Campaign
Lorensen Auto Group announces they are the exclusive automotive sponsor of NBC Connecticut’s Clear The Shelters campaign during the month of August 2024. Clear The Shelters, NBCUniversal Local’s nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign, kicks off its 10th annual adoption initiative. The adoption campaign will run for one month until Sept. 10. Clear The Shelters surpassed a landmark of 1 million all-time adoptions last year. The total currently sits at over 1.02 million.
WVIT, along with other NBC and Telemundo owned and affiliated stations across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, is partnering with local animal shelters and rescues to promote pet adoption and raise funds for animal welfare.
“We’re proud to support our local CT animal shelters and rescues through the Clear The Shelters sponsorship with WVIT,” says Sam Elmazi, President/Owner of Lorensen Auto Group, with corporate offices located in Westbrook, CT. Lorensen Auto Group owns and operates five auto dealerships throughout Connecticut including Acura of Avon, Acura of Milford, Honda of Watertown, Westbrook Honda, and Westbrook Toyota.
Besides its sponsorship commitment, Lorensen Auto Group will promote the pet adoption initiative at the dealership level and on multiple media platforms. A weekly “Clear The Shelters Pet Adoption Spotlight” will be featured on each dealership’s Facebook and Instagram pages to support the following local CT shelters:
