Together with hundreds of dealers across the country, everything we do contributes to helping Acura achieve carbon neutrality for all products and corporate activities by 2050.

Family-owned and forward-thinking, the Precision Team winning dealership is now making waves in environmental leadership, earning a 2024 Green Dealer Award through a strong commitment to sustainable operations and energy-efficient practices.

Q:Congratulations on the 2024 Green Dealer Award! What initiatives helped you earn it?

A: Thank you, it was a true team effort. We’ve upgraded our facility with an energy-efficient AC system, LED lighting, and robust recycling practices. Even small habits, like turning off lights, are part of our culture. Everyone is involved, and managers help ensure follow-through.

Q: What are the biggest benefits of being part of the Green Dealer Program?

A: Cost savings, without a doubt. LED lighting has had the greatest immediate impact, lower energy use, less maintenance, and a brighter environment that showcases our vehicles beautifully.

Q: Why is sustainability important to your dealership?

A: It’s central to how we represent the Acura brand in our community. Customers care about sustainability, and by being leaders in this space, we’ve built credibility and connection. We’ve even received customer suggestions – like needing bigger trash cans! – which shows they’re engaged, too.

Q: You’re very diligent with utility reporting. Why?

A: My office manager tracks it closely every month. Every improvement counts. It’s also boosted morale because our team sees we’re investing in the future and in them.

Q: What Green Dealer tools have helped most?

A: The dashboard is a game-changer. It keeps us accountable and helps identify where we can improve. It’s all about transparency and proactive planning.

Q: How have your sustainability efforts impacted daily operations?

A: Tremendously. Our EV charging stations show customers we’re thinking ahead. LED lighting in the service shop helps technicians work more precisely and efficiently, which improves the quality of repairs and boosts customer satisfaction.

Q: How has building an energy-efficient store prepared you for Acura’s electrified future?

A: We’re ready. Our lower energy usage and existing infrastructure for EVs position us to meet future demand with confidence.

Q: How do you share your green message in the community?

A: We’re active in local clubs and the Chamber of Commerce. We make it clear that sustainability is a priority. People appreciate that and it sets us apart.

Q: What advice would you give to other dealers considering the Green Dealer Program?

A: Just start. Don’t get overwhelmed—begin with the lighting, the restrooms, or the area that needs the most improvement. The program gives you structure. Small steps lead to big results.
