Acura Celebrates 40 Years of Precision Crafted Performance

Acura of Avon to Host Public 40th Anniversary Celebration on May 21

CANTON, Conn. — Acura is celebrating 40 years since its debut in America on March 27, 1986, when it became the first Japanese luxury automotive brand introduced to the U.S. market. Launching with the groundbreaking Legend sedan and sporty Integra, Acura transformed the luxury vehicle landscape with a reputation for innovation, exceptional quality and reliability, and industry-leading customer satisfaction.

To commemorate the milestone locally, Acura of Avon — one of the first Acura dealerships in the State of Connecticut — will host an Acura 40th Celebration Event on Thursday, May 21st at it’s showroom located at 75 Albany Turnpike, Canton, CT.

The public is invited to attend the celebration, which will feature official Acura 40th Anniversary merchandise, door prizes, special discounts, and refreshments catered by Bagel Chalet of Avon. There will be a celebratory non-alcoholic champagne toast and award presentation at 12 p.m.

The event will honor four decades of Acura innovation and performance while celebrating the loyal customers and community members who have supported the brand throughout its history.
